Independant Online, "Brazil 'Crash Airline' to Compensate Families"

         Gol airlines has contacted families of 154 victims of Brazil's deadliest air crash to discuss compensation for the tragedy, the company said on Monday. "Gol deeply respects the mourning families, but cannot avoid its duty," said the company, which put itself at the disposition of the families to open talks on indemnity immediately or when those involved see fit.
         Gol's Boeing 737 and a private Legacy jet collided over the Amazon jungle in Mato Grosso state. All were killed aboard the jetliner while all seven survived in the smaller plane, which made an emergency landing.
          On Saturday a judge in Brasilia ordered the seizure of the Brazilian-built Embraer Legacy, property of a US company, ExcelAir, at the demand of one victim's family. - Sapa-AFP
